Update From Rodney Local Board
|Tell us how halls and reserves should be managed in Rodney
Your local board is conducting a review of the way council-owned halls are managed in Rodney as well as looking at the roles and responsibilities of the reserve advisory groups. Local board members would like to acknowledge and recognise the very important role of the community advisory groups – some who manage halls and others who are involved with reserves.Up to now the 24 council-owned halls have been managed in a mix of ways; some are council-run while others are run by community advisory groups who were initially appointed for a three year term under the former Rodney District Council.
Before any decisions or changes are made, your local board wants to hear your views. Please take the time to have your say from 10 August to 25 September 2015. Visit our website for the many ways you can give feedback including community meetings and also for a full list of the halls and reserves advisory groups under review.

Wellsford Greenways takes a step forward
Feedback from the community identified five important priority routes that will be used as a blueprint for implementing any future walkway and cycleway projects in Wellsford. Before any priority routes can progress; funding must be identified as well as further scoping of each route to determine its feasibility and in some instances this could mean finding alternative routes.
The Wellsford Greenways Plan is available online or can be viewed at Wellsford Library.
