STALLHOLDERS WANTED!
Stalls are available for those interested in selling quality locally grown, produced, handmade goods. We are predominantly food oriented but quality, local handmade items are welcome.
The stall fee is $20 per month and you will need your own table and gazebo.

Community Table:
For those of you who have surplus veges, fruit or EGGS (especially!) you are welcome to sell on the Community table at NO Charge. Even if it is only a dozen eggs or a bunch of carrots…it all goes to make a vibrant table. Please try to get your goods to us by 9am.

Reminder: Souper Puhoi Farmers Market This Sunday, 25th May

The local scouts are doing a Soup and Carwashing fundraiser. Its not clear how this combination is achieved but suffice to say you MUST BE THERE to see!

Eggless but not Legless

We on the Puhoi Farmers Market committee have been noticing a shortage of eggs for sale, even from larger, commercial suppliers. Let us know if some of you smaller, backyard hen owners have a dozen or so spare eggs for the community stall on market day, or just bring them along that morning. We can supply you with containers.

Diversions in Diversity

No need, I am sure, to say a lot more about next farmers market’s celebration of Puhoi’s ethnic and national diversity. I have put round not a few explanations as to what is happening, plus approaching members of a variety of national groups and individuals to consider taking up the market’s offer of free stall space to showcase
culture, food, costumes and more. This year, says market manager Pip Beagley, the emphasis will be on cultural contributions such as song, dance and instrumental music to the accompanying entertainment programme. Please phone Pip on 4220009 to book your stall and/or your slot on the programme.

More United Nations

The Puhoi Farmers Market committee is planning
another celebration of Puhoi’s ethnic and national
diversity for the April 27 market, so, Carole Hay,
polish up your spoons, print out your song sheets,
shine your tiara and give us a repeat of the British
input which helped make the 2013 market such
fun.
There will be more information closer to April 27
but for the moment remember, the market will
provide free stall space among our usual com-
mercial stallholders for non-commercial groups to
showcase your flags, costumes, dances and oth-
er aspects of your culture.
Last year we counted among our Puhoi residents:
South Africans, Finns, Americans, Japanese,
Germans, Maori, Australians, Samoans, Chrst-
mas and Faroe Islanders, Danes, Brits, Dutch,
Irish, Ukrainians, Kiribati and Scots, not to men-
tion Puhoi Bohemians. Whom can we add this
year?

Market Value
