The Puhoi Farmers Market committee is planning
another celebration of Puhoi’s ethnic and national
diversity for the April 27 market, so, Carole Hay,
polish up your spoons, print out your song sheets,
shine your tiara and give us a repeat of the British
input which helped make the 2013 market such
There will be more information closer to April 27
but for the moment remember, the market will
provide free stall space among our usual com-
mercial stallholders for non-commercial groups to
showcase your flags, costumes, dances and oth-
er aspects of your culture.
Last year we counted among our Puhoi residents:
South Africans, Finns, Americans, Japanese,
Germans, Maori, Australians, Samoans, Chrst-
mas and Faroe Islanders, Danes, Brits, Dutch,
Irish, Ukrainians, Kiribati and Scots, not to men-
tion Puhoi Bohemians. Whom can we add this

Thanks, also, to Kim Boyd and Puhoi Playgroup for providing the face-painting, Sarah Churchhouse 4DOGSAKE for the dog show, the Folan-Remacha family for the pony rides, Jasmine Paprill for her Aerial Silks off the Puhoi Bridge and Mike Pero for the RED Balloons:)

As we do each year we were able to donate to four community groups in our local area:

Sweet Louise, the group which supports people who have suffered breast cancer, Hestia Women’s Refuge, the Puhoi Playgroup and the Animal Awareness Group

Although these recipients have a wider reach than just Puhoi, all of them are represented by residents from our local community.
