Thank you to all the people who worked so hard for a successful Art Show this year held at the Puhoi Centennial Hall.
We had many sponsors including Wheels on Wairau, Puhoi Organic Distillery, Life Pharmacy, Nutri Metics, Lothlorien Wine, Puhoi Cheese, Gordon Harris and everyone who gave there valuable time to the
venture, especially Colleen Rutherford who took annual leave to take over the organising of the event. Her family also took time off work to help with the set up and clear up.
We had a lovely preview evening with wine and cheese plus wonderful music from our very own local Celtic Group.
So many people gave up their valuable time and it is all very much appreciated. I would like to thank all the artists who entered work and helped with the running of the exhibition. All the people who bought raffle tickets or left donations.
If I have failed to mention your donation I apologise but be assured it was very much appreciated.
We managed to raise $1000.00 for the Hall and $500.00 for the Puhoi Fire Brigade.
We wish you all a Healthy Peaceful and Happy 2017.
Kind Regards Val Smith

…the noises, smells and voices, from the shed.. the furtive late night activities. Chances are it was a local artist putting finishing touches to a masterpiece which will be on display at the Puhoi Art Exhibition!
As an esteemed Puhoi Newsletter Recipient you are invited to join us in the Hall at 7pm on Friday 27th for the Preview Evening. You’ll have a chance to sip a glass of wine and give your opinions a bit too loudly about the art on display. There’ll be music, cheese and nibbles too – just bring some coins for the raffles … and don’t forget all the works are for sale and christmas is coming.
If you can’t make the preview, the exhibition is running all week 10am-4pm until 6th December. Do pop by – its looking like our biggest show yet!
Online entries for this years exhibition have now closed. If you’d still like to enter please come and see us at the drop-off on Wednesday 2pm-6pm at the Puhoi Hall.

Maori TV did a great little feature on our exhibition this year, (un)fortunately your editor was at work so didn’t manage to get his ugly mug on there. You can see the clip at http://www.maoritelevision.com/tv/shows/te-kaea/S10E330/te-kaea – time 18.35 to 21.35
