The full list of upcoming works is at Latest Road Closures For Motorway Related Works Update for Puhoi

Dear Neighbour,

The Ara Tūhono Pūhoi to Warkworth project will be moving the temporary barriers and starting pavement preparation works on Hibiscus Coast Highway near the Johnstones Hill Tunnels overnight. For safety reasons the southbound offramp will be closed. Stop/go traffic management will be in place in the northbound lane while works happen, to enable traffic to flow in both directions.

The night works are scheduled for Sunday 17 January to Thursday 28 January 2021 (not including Friday and Saturday nights), between the hours of 9pm and 4am when traffic volumes are lower. These works are weather dependent and will be postponed if conditions are unsuitable.

What does this mean for you?

Traffic management will affect vehicles travelling in both directions on Hibiscus Coast Highway, near the tunnels. There may be a small delay while works are happening, we appreciate your patience while this work happens and apologise for any inconvenience that may be experienced.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our communications team via email: info@nx2group.com or our 24/7 freephone: 0508 P2WK INFO (0508 7295 4636) if you have any questions.

Warm regards,

Ping Pong

Just sounding out who’d be interested in starting a table tennis evening, say once a week in the Hall or other suitable venue. A lot cleaner than walking, hopefully less sweaty than tennis and less injury prone than those funny games involving running up and down outside and grunting at each other with big balls. Good for your cognitive whatsits too according to recent studies by study people. Steve Rowsell is offering one table and hopefully we could source some more… RSVP mike@hiko.co.nz (no commitment – just getting some numbers)

Heli Spraying Along Motorway Works

Dear Neighbour,

API will be Heli spraying 150 acres of regenerated Native Bush along the NX2 Designation Boundary starting next week, lasting  for 6-8 days. This work is very weather dependant and dates may change.

The operation will be targeting weeds; Pampas grass, Wooley nightshade, black berry and gorse and one area of wild ginger. This is an API Forest operation but they will be flying along and over the NX2 alignment during the spray works. The helicopter will be operating at low altitude and needs clear air space, please do not fly any drones during this time.

If you  have any queries please contact API directly.
